Reviewing the darkest, most erotic, and taboo novels
A few weeks ago I posted an interview that I had with this wonderful woman and it was great but, if I’m being honest those weren’t the only questions I wanted to ask.
I wanted to know all of her kinky wee secrets and inspiration for those hot as sin sex scenes. So…I came to her with a whole bunch of new and dirty questions, lol.
And she answered them!
I am so excited and totally geeking out so, without further ado I give you the kinky interview!
Her first-ever book, Broken – (Omega’s Destruction, Book 1), sucked me in so thoroughly that I almost passed out from time to time while reading Broken because I didn’t realise I was holding my breath!
I absorbed every single page into my soul.
If you love Omegaverse like me and you haven’t read Broken yet…well you’re a fool, lol.
I just pee’d a little…just sayin’.
What is the first erotic book you remember reading and how old were you?
I can’t remember the title, but it was a Harlequin Romance Novel, something my mother often indulged in. I do remember reading the Sleeping Beauty trilogy from Anne Rice when I was 13.
Do you write all of your scenes from personal experience ( obviously not the knotting, lol)?
Haha, I wish! Most of it is from a hodgepodge of sex acts I’m familiar with and then trusty pr0n for the rest.
When did you first realize that dark erotica was your thing?
I’ve always written the darker aspects of things, and as I got older it naturally translated into erotica. I like going where no one else will, and sex just makes it even better!
What kind of research do you do for your sex scenes? (Pornhub?)
If it’s something complicated (like multiple partners), I will definitely head over to Pornhub or somewhere similar to get a better idea of where everyone’s parts should be.
Do you ever re-read one of your scenes and get turned on?
All. The. Time. Even scenes that shouldn’t be super sexy can rev my engine since I know where things are going.
Does your partner find your writing a turn on?
No partner, so who knows?! I would like to think I wouldn’t be with someone who wasn’t at least a little turned on by what I write though.
Do your family members read your books?
No, they don’t. Super conservative family and dark romance do not always mix well. Add in the fact it’s Omegaverse and there’s a whole lot of explaining I just don’t think I can do. They do all know I’m a writer though, a life long dream.
Has anyone ever tried to shame you for writing / liking the darker side of erotica?
Yes, I’ve been asked what’s wrong with me more than once. My answer is always the same: What’s wrong with you that my interests are so important to you?
Do you belong to any BDSM or fetish clubs?
Not anymore, but I did back in the day. I left the local scene when it became a bit toxic and self-serving.
How many icky messages do you get? (not including these questions, lol)
I haven’t gotten any! I’m careful with who I friend on social media and check profiles out. I avoid anything obviously icky.
Do you feel that sex talk should be kept to the bedroom or do you think that people should be more open about sexuality?
Sex needs to be something that anyone and everyone should be comfortable talking about! Whether you’re straight, gay, trans, into whips, want to be a Little, etc, it should all be something people aren’t condemned for. Sexuality is such an important and imperative role in people’s lives that pretending it doesn’t exist or being ashamed of who and what you are just leads to trauma on so many different levels.
